The Department has an academic staff that are specialized in various fields of psychology including clinical psychology, cognitive psychology, industrial and organizational psychology, and social psychology. Thus, students can easily access the knowledge in the area of their interest. Our curriculum consists of the courses that prepare students not only into the academia but also into the practice. For instance, “Clinical Psychology II: Observation and Interview Techniques”, carried out in our Psychology Laboratory, provides students with the integration of theory and practice. Other courses include neuropsychological tests trainings which serve to improve our students’ competencies in the field. The department organizes various meetings and seminars on regular basis which aim to introduce highly qualified researchers as well as practitioners in different fields of psychology to students (e.g., Cankaya University Psychology Days (I – VI); Cankaya University Cognitive Psychology Day (I – III); Department of Psychology Seminars). Besides, our staff and students collaboratively study on academic research and they participate in top-quality national and international congresses and conferences in order to present their collaborative studies. Our students who aim to pursue an academic career are strongly encouraged and supported by our academic staff throughout their undergraduate education and they are accepted to graduate schools in various high-quality national and international universities.
